There are many ways to structure and manage a VC fund, but which approach provides the best returns? These slides capture the conclusions of an interactive meeting where the panelists discuss the ideal structure for a life science fund to optimize potential returns. The 30 VC attendees also contributed ideas and stimulated the discussion. We also answer the big question: Can you make money in life science?

The steller panel included Robert Fix (JPMorgan Asset Management), Don Milder (Versant Ventures), Rick Parker (HellerEhrman) and John Taylor (NVCA).

Chaired and moderated by Greg B. Scott at the BIOCOM Life Science Venture Network quarterly dinner meeting in San Diego, May 3, 2006.
